Chang is one of Thailand's hidden secrets and has now become
much easier to visit. Located 315 kilometers south east of Bangkok,
what was once only accessible by a 4 hour drive from Bangkok, Trat
airport on the mainland is now only an hour's flight from Bangkok.
Koh Chang still has 75 percent of its rainforest
undisturbed and the idyllic beaches,
stunning waterfalls and tropical rainforests
provide a haven in which wildlife thrives. The clear blue waters
and coral reefs of both Koh Chang and the other nearby
islands, are perfect for both snorkling and diving
enthusiasts.

5-hour bus trip from the Eastern Bus Terminal will take visitors
to the Trat Province Bus Terminal (departures between 06.00 a.m.
and 12.00 p.m.). From there, Song Taew (local bus) transport is
available for the transfer to Laem Ngop, which is 17 kilometres
from town, or the ferry landings at Ao Thammachat and Koh Chang
Centre Point where services are operated the whole day. Best time
to visit Koh Chang is from October to May.
